Hi! My name is Megan and I'm really excited you're here! This blog has been on my mind and my heart for quite some time. Here's a little back story...

I live in eastern Iowa (the true Midwest) and have been passionate about wedding and event planning since before I stepped foot in my first college course. I worked very hard to be a part of this industry and had some of the best experiences of my life, including some of the hardest.

 

All the while - somewhere in the middle - I met the man of my dreams who became my best friend and my husband of almost 3 years now. We bought our first home together, almost two years ago and added a couple members to the family: our husky-mix puppies, Charlotte and Scout! They keep us busy, but we are obsessed with our fur babies!

While life has changed so much for my family over the past year, I can truly look back and say I've learned so much. I've realized my true passions are to create beautiful spaces we can enjoy, not only on the holidays or at a special event, but during our regular everyday. I love making moments feel special and intentional for the people I love...and also, for myself!

I've officially decided my style is a mix of Father of the Bride classic meets southern farmhouse, with a touch of whimsical-ness! This came to be from my love of Nancy Meyer films and my honeymoon to Savannah, Georgia, Hilton Head Island and Charleston, South Carolina. I actually think I was born in the wrong part of the country!

I'm excited to share my passions with you all and maybe inspire a little! Whether that's a DIY project, updating a space in your home, or trying a new recipe! This is my happy escape and I hope it can be the same for you!
