a little pumpkin is on her way | my fall baby shower

A fall baby shower....who could have guessed that for myself, haha?! Fall is truly my favorite season and I suppose that's become abundantly clear to all my friends and family, so this one shouldn't have been a surprise! Although I feel lucky that I was able to coordinate my 7 months with my FAVORITE time of YEAR! Before we found out we were having a girl I had already started researching Pinterest for themes and ideas. I really loved the "little cutie" with clementines idea a lot, but once I came across pumpkins my idea bulb basically blew up in my head and I knew exactly what to do! "A Little Pumpkin Is On Her Way"! The first thing I started with was making my invitation on Canva.com! I have a monthly membership that allows me to use basically any feature, sticker, font, etc. This was not a pre-made invite which I feel super proud of! That's what I love about Canva. You can use a pre-made template and then customize it to your liking OR make something from scratch! We ended up having my husband's friend print these for us through his business Digiwrap! They can print all sorts of custom products with photos on tissue paper, bags, you name it! They were even on a episode of Shark Tank - check them out!

I wanted to have a welcome sign to put in my gold 24x36 Target frame you've seen me share many times over! This pretty below I printed at CopyWorks for under $30 in full color and it turned out perfectly! I think I'm going to hang this in baby girls room because I love it so much! It matches perfectly.

When it came to the vision for my shower, I knew there would plenty of pumpkins to go around with some fresh flowers. We held it at my parent's house which ended up being perfect. If you have a space big enough for your guests, there is a huge perk to having all the set up time you need, so you're less rushed in a window of time at a venue. But don't get me wrong! Having events like this at a venue is also really convenient! That's why we did our gender reveal at our favorite winery, so we didn't have to worry about prepping our home for a bunch of guests! This time around, it was really in our favor to have in a home :)

I wanted the front step to be super inviting and basically SCREAM FALL! With tons of pumpkins, mums, ornamental cabbage, lanterns and flowers! Adding in the welcome sign made it baby shower ready! All the cinderalla pumpkins were delivered from Beno's Flowers along with the MOST STUNNING flower arrangements, you'll see them below!

Fall treats! That was the menu for my afternoon shower! I wanted all the yummies my mom made growing up and the usuals on the menu for this time of year! Apple pie, pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting (we made these into cupcake size for easy grabbing), fall sugar cookies, apple and lemon bundt cakes, pumpkin bread and more!

To even out the sweet, we had cheese boards with crackers and grapes, bowls of maple popcorn and nuts for snacking! To drink we had a super simple, but deliciously refreshing Apple Cider Punch. All it was, was equal parts chilled apple cider and ginger ale. To make it pretty we made ice molds with the mixture and put in cinnamon sticks and cut apples! So yummy! That way the drink didn't get watered down over time.

This tablescape with all the goodies, was seriously a show stopper (to me at least)! It was more beautiful than I could have even pictured in my head! We rented all the table linens from Unique Events, which I'm so glad we did. The colors of the tables really helps bring the fall, moody, girly look together! We pulled the black and white buffalo check pattern through on the guest tables with napkins from Amazon! We got dinner sized, but there are so many options to choose from! I took so many pictures of this table so of course I couldn't decide which to post! There is a little slide show you can click through below :)

And then....can we talk BALLOON GARLAND?! My best friend, seriously since forever, runs a business with her sister called Poppin' Parties and this garland truly brings the room together! Nothing says party, like a gorgeous custom balloon garland to match your parties theme! They can seriously do anything! Make sure to give them a call and get on their calendar, because these ladies are busy! Thank you Briana and Sarah for making my vision a reality! <3

Let's have a chat about the guest tables. Or the photos are nuff said? Another shout out to Beno's Flowers for the amazing table arrangements and fall foliage!! Baby shower stationary: games + advice for mom and baby from Etsy, assortment of crystal plates from family, mercury glass candle holders from my wedding (awwwwwwwwwwww) and pumpkins pumpkins pumpkins! Again, this came out more gorgeous than I ever could have hoped for! More photos to click through below...I hope this inspires your next fall get together or baby shower celebration! My true passion is making beautiful spaces to celebrate special moments and creating memories like this!! <3

I want to give a BIG shoutout to all my people who helped pull this gorgeous shower together! It always takes a village to make things happen. My village includes close family friends (who are essentially OUR FAMILY) Aunt Diane we call her, my mother-in-law Tawnya who helped make sure we had seating available to our guests with some delicious treats, Dana and Briana who helped us set out all the treats, pumpkins and of course the balloon garland! And then my MOM who made tons of pies and treats, moved all the furniture out of the living room to turn her house into a perfect spot to celebrate baby girl! And way more than I could even think to mention. They are all seriously THE BEST!!! Love you all!!!

And thank you to all my guests who totally spoiled us with gifts in preparation for baby girl! We are definitely a few steps closer to being ready for her December arrival! But overall, it was so amazing to have all my favorite people together in one place! That's truly what meant the most, especially in these times. We can't thank you all enough. xoxo
