Hi everyone! This is really exciting because it's my very first blog post! I've wanted to do this for a long time, but wasn't sure how to go about it and really just needed to organize all my thoughts and ideas! Once I realized I was overthinking everything (like I normally do) I decided I just need to start small, start somewhere and let time take me where I need to go!
This was dreamy winter bedroom design was one of the first mood boards I shared while introducing myself as The Darling Road! It's a small nod to what I've been passionate about for a long time. It's also taken me time to realize what it is I love, and that's making any special moment feel like a special memory. Making everyday things feel magical. So here was my mood board I created when planning out my winter bedding in our master for the holidays!
A lot of the items here in my mood board I already. Like the nightstand, lamp, dresser, mirror and the white comforter. The reason I included those in my mood board was to paint a picture for myself on what the "final look" would look like in my personal space! I saw these BEAUTIFUL velvet quilts at Target and honestly all over instagram and knew that's what I wanted to incorporate in this look! I also have the pink one to use as a regular blanket! But the navy really works well as a color for all of winter and I'm really happy with how this mood board turned out!
Here's another honest reason why I wanted...and KIND OF needed MORE bedding! We have two husky mix puppies that are 1.5 years old! Charlotte and Scout sleep with us often times and let me just tell you. The shedding is barely manageable. I am constantly vacuuming our house and cleaning our bedding. SO - this was the perfect excuse to add another look to our bedroom! That way if I need to change out the bedding, but don't have time to wash everything, I can easily swap it out!
But don't get me wrong, I look changing out looks in our home, whatever it may be, because it's so much fun! Here's another look I created with our original duvet bedding from Pottery Barn mixed with some pretty flannel sheets from Target, last year and some fun throw pillows!
